THREADBARE Clothing owners Claire Western and Jill Stewart have launched their Winter range of hoodies, sweatshirts and slogan tees, tapping into the fashionable athleisure market and providing on-trend clothing to mums across the country.
The brand, which is based in the centre of Newcastle, was set up after Claire and Jill found a clear gap in the market for quality ‘throw on’ clothing, that they could do the school run and complete daily errands in, whilst still looking on-trend.
Claire said: “It was really important for us to create a clothing line that we needed and that after speaking to other mums in our circles we knew they were looking for.
“What you’re going to wear is never a top priority at 7 am when you’re trying to dress the children, make packed lunch boxes, find the forever disappearing shoe and make sure everyone is packed and ready. That’s why myself and Jill got our heads together and combined our design and print knowledge to create the Threadbare range.”
All products are created and printed by Threadbare themselves by hand to ensure quality and longevity.
Jill added: “My family business has always specialised in printing on fabric and creating uniforms and labels for large corporate businesses, so it’s been brilliant to create products and designs that we love and get to wear daily.
“There is really no limit to what you can match our clothing with, whether you’re throwing on a pair of leggings and trainers with a slogan tee and hoodie, or matching a tee with a blazer and boots for a Winter look. Our clothing is always going to be comfortable, long-lasting and on-trend.
“We’ve already had so much inspiration from speaking to our customers about our next designs, so make sure to keep a lookout for our new products that are continually added to the site.”
